Dwarka means LORD KRISHNA and the DWARKADHISH TEMPLE is the Flagship of this Quaint City of Lord Krishna. This Beautiful Temple is known for it’s Architectural Beauty ( Maru – Gurjara Style of Architecture ) and Rich Heritage.

Built by Lord Krishna’s Grandson VAJRANABH, over HARI – GRIHA ( Lord Krishna’s Residential Palace ) in around 200 BCE and Rebuilt and Enlarged in the 15th – 16th Century… It has 5 Levels and 72 Pillars and 2 Entrances. It is also known as JAGAT MANDIR or NIJA MANDIR. This Temple gives you Soothingly Spiritual Vibes and spending time there can soothe ruffled nerves and grant solace. Religiously it is ONE of the FOUR “ CHAAR DHAMS “.

NAGESHWAR JYOTIRLING


Located about 25-30 Kms out of Dwarka ( On the way to BEYT DWARKA ), The NAGESHWAR JYOTIRLING is One of the 12 JYOTIRLINGAS in India. A Brick Red Structure, it has a large hall with a SHIVALINGA at the end of the hall. The GOPI TALAV TIRTH is another spot of Religious Importance, close to the Temple.

Legend says that Lord Shiva heard chants of “ Om Namaha Shivay “ for Help from a Shiva Devotee who was imprisoned by a Demon called DAARUKA. Lord Shiva appeared and destroyed the Demon and a SELF MANIFESTED SHIVALINGA appeared there, which is Worshipped till date. The 80 Feet LORD SHIVA STATUE is majestic and awe inspiring…

BEYT DWARKA


Also known as – KRISHNADHAM or ABODE OF LORD KRISHNA…

This Island, off the coast of Dwarka can be accessed via OKHA by Boat and Now by Road, over the NEW BRIDGE.
The name of BEYT comes from the Word GIFT ( Beyt ), as this was supposed to have been a Gift from SUDAMA to LORD KRISHNA, who made it His Place of Residence and His established Headquarters.
Apart from the KRISHNA TEMPLE known as “KESHAVRAIJI” which was built around 500 Years ago by VALLABHACHARYA JI, there are many other Deities like Lord Hanuman, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva etc. This beautiful Island Abode of Lord Krishna is NOT to be Missed.

This Beautiful PEDESTRIAN SUSPENSION BRIDGE connects the Temple and Island and is a picturesque site to visit. This Bridge was Opened to Public in 2016 and provides easy access to Tourists and Pilgrims to the Beach and places like ‘Paanch Pandav’ and ‘Laxmi Narayan Temple’ in the surrounding area. The Beach itself is so scenic and ‘Photo Friendly’ for some Good, Memorable Clicks…

RUKSHMANI DEVI MANDIR


This Temple is another ARCHITECTURAL WONDER which you should not miss…
Dedicated to RUKMANI – Wife of Lord Krishna, this Temple is Located just around 2 Kms outside the City. The Aesthetically and Exquisitely Carved Portions of Spiritual and Historic importance will amaze you and so will the Interesting stories narrated by the Priest or a Guide. Sage Durvasa’s curse to Rukmani was that She stay away from Her Husband and so this Temple was built at a little distance from the Main Temple of DWARKADHISH.
